Poor cut quality

Try this solution

Check chain tension and alignment

Ensure that the chain is properly tension. If chain tension is set incorrectly, it will not cut well. Excessive tension will lead to reduction in the life of the bar and chain.

1

Lock the Guide Bar

Push the Rear Handle (1) until the Guide Bar (7) is in the middle of the jaw opening as shown.

Lock the Guide Bar in the middle position by inserting the Lock Pin (12) into the Lock Pin Receptacle located under the Rear Handle (1).

2

Open the Chain Access Cover

Open the Chain Access Cover (9) by using
the supplied wrench. To open, turn the Access Cover Nut no more than a 1/4 turn in either direction.

3

Release tension on the Saw Chain

Release tension on the Saw Chain by
loosening the Chain Tensioning Bolt (10).
Turn the Chain Tensioning Bolt counterclockwise 2 or more times.

*If you need to add tension on the Saw Chain, turn the Chain Tensioning Bolt clockwise.
