Make sure that both batteries are the same (i.e, 2x20V 2.0ah, 2x20V 4.0ah, etc.)

Any tool that uses two 20V batteries, it is recommended to use two of the same equally charged amp batteries. When you use two different amp batteries, the machine will only run to the lower common denominator.
