Try this solution

Ensure that the battery is fully charged

Push the ON/OFF SWITCH once for flashlight, twice for lantern, third time for desk lamp on HI, fourth time for desk lamp on LOW, and fifth time for SOS. Push it the 6th time and hold to turn it off.
