Chain saw rips, vibrates, does not saw properly

Try this solution

Adjust chain tension

Chain may be too loose. Turn the CHAIN TENSIONING KNOB (11) clockwise to tighten it. You should be able to slightly lift the chain without seeing the drive link. If you find that it is too tight, turn it counterclockwise.
